It's back to school time and you can find great deals on school and office supplies.  This year I found these blank plain clipboards at Walmart for under a dollar.  I picked up several because I want to make some teacher gifts with them.

First thing is to cut your paper to fit the clip board.

 

You can see that most clipboards and just slightly bigger that 12 inches, and it leaves some blank space at the top.

Take your cardstock, adhere a small piece bigger than the space you need, then use the Prima distressing tool, to shape the paper perfectly to size.

As if it wasn't cute enough, I added some embellishments and ribbon.

I tied ribbon to the top flap and also tied a binder clip to hold the name of the month.

I created a blank calendar grid, then copied it onto a transparency.  I added a bit of adhesive to the bottom of the transparency and put it under the black ribbon, to hide it, and clipped it down on the top with the clipboard.  Now you can use a wet erase marker to write dates and notes on your calendar and use it month after month.

Note: I flipped the image and copied it so the ink is on the back side of the transparency. The reason is so when you write and erase with a wet marker, it doesn't pull or wipe of the copy.
